| I had tried for months to get some self-tie, silk bow ties, but to no
avail. Tie Rack, Pinks, airport shops and other stores only stock very
basic colours in their self-tie range, (ie, black, white and maybe red) and
I was met with surprise when I persisted in my request for self-tie rather
than pre-tied. I was told, several times, that if I wanted something
"colourful", then I would have to purchase pre-tied. As my husband is a

| I'd say I wasted my time driving to and shopping at Manchester Trafford Centre first of all: Tie Rack: yuk! John Lewis: the pits! John Lewis - get this!: a smaller range of ties, more expensive, and - when I selected a tie I liked - I found it creased (by the tie hanger) and damaged elsewhere. Pointing
this out to the assistant, I was told this "had never happened before", though two further items were also found to be creased - all three items being blithely put back in stock by that same assistant. So I won't be going there again; but I'll certainly list Tie Specialist amongst my Favourites on the Internet. |
