Gold on Black Royal Swirl Waistcoat #AB-WWA1001/11

My wife and I dance so I wear waistcoats regularly. I have around a dozen, although I have two or three favourites, one of which is a gold swirl pattern. This was no longer available from my previous supplier so I looked online and found Tie specialist. After ordering a couple of swatches I ordered a new waistcoat and matching bow tie.
Having checked the sizing guide I had measured very carefully and found I was exactly 40" around the chest. I was slightly dubious, as I didn't know the brand and whether it fitted accurately or tight. I ordered the 40". When it arrived, it was slightly snug around the chest, but tolerable. however when I came to button it, the fifth and sixth (bottom two) buttons were so extremely tight around my hips (I wear 34" or 36" waist trousers so am not overweight) that despite trying it several times I had to return it and exchange it for size 42". There was no problem in so doing other than the hassle of having to pack and post. The 42" size fits OK.
I am very happy with the quality of the 42" waistcoat and the bottom buttons while snug, are comfortable.
